Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

When life's getting down, Jesus invites us to seek His assistance and He'll grant us rest. Not just a temporary relief of the stress and sadness we experience each day, but a heaven we look forward to.

A place where perpetual light shines,
God's mercy resides,
peace is eternal.

There's no burden too heavy when carried with love.

Look at the kangaroo. The newborn joey crawls into its mother's pouch where it will nurse, grow and develop for eight months to one year.

Look at the pregnant women. For nine long months, they're carrying their bundles of joy with care.

Like them, that's how God takes care of us, not just in this world, but through eternity.

As the famous song goes, "Lift up your hands to God and He'll make you feel alright."

He is Risen!

To you, Risen Lord we offer

our tears turned to laughter,

our pain turned to joy,

our fear turned to glad confidence.

Your victory over death puts hope in our hearts.

God ain't dead. He ain't sleeping either.

Amen. Alleluia!
